When costume jewelry was originally manufactured, it was made with the intent of
being
worn for a season or two and then discarded.
It was never made to be kept and worn for years.
This is precisely the reason why pieces that are in excellent condition command
higher
prices than pieces with damage.
The majority of surviving vintage costume jewelry pieces have some type of wear
or damage.
This is a perfect example of the laws of supply and demand at work.
There is currently not enough quality, excellent condition pieces around to be
offered to
the buying public, so the prices for these pieces are holding steady and
increasing in value.

to us registered mail
